- The OEM small screen of vehicles w/o OEM nav must still be connected to original OEM connector; otherwise, the new unit may not work properly.
- To make connections to the head unit, just match connectors and/or labels. If on-screen AC control is not working, check if 8 pin connector with green and green/black or white and white/black wires is connected to the back of the unit.
- We have adapters available to retain OEM camera image, no matter whether it's on the OEM screen or in the inside rearview mirror. We also supply a Ford camera decoder box to improve the image quality. Connect male RCA from the adapter to the decoder box; then connect the male RCA coming out of the decoder box to female RCA labeled 'CCD Camera'. The three pin connector from the decoder needs to be connected to the main harness three pin connector to get power.
- The power cord has been changed to without using the power cord adaptor, just connect the black connector to the back of the unit is fine.
- The cables of Retain and Remove OEM radio are different.
If you choose the Retain OEM radio but want to Remove OEM radio later, you have 2 ways to get the correct cable:
1. Send back the power cord and AUX cable to us to exchange the power cord, power cord adaptor, and radio antenna for Remove OEM radio.
2. Directly purchase the power cord ($45), power cord adaptor($20), and radio antenna($19) to Remove OEM radio without sending back the cables to Retain OEM radio.
If you choose the Remove OEM host but want to Retain OEM host later, you have 2 ways to get the correct cable:
